The French Bakery and Courtyard Café has been in existence since 1998. In the fall of 2003, former Bostonians, Karl and Nancy Seitz, followed their dream, moved to Hilton Head and purchased the bakery from the founding Leon family.
Since opening their doors, the bakery has carried on the great established tradition of French Baking and our dedicated staff has provided local families and businesses with delicious, hand made baked goods at affordable prices. Well regarded French Pastry Chef, Johny Philoxene, trained in Paris and worked in London and Paris before coming to Hilton Head Island.
In the fall of 2004 the bakery/café was expanded to provide a cozy seating area, reminiscent of European cafés. Please stop by and enjoy our fine food, ambiance and soothing music! Our goal is to provide a taste of the finest things Provencal life can bring to the island through our French menu items, baked goods, table linens and artwork. We are committed to continuing our positive relationship with both local residents and visitors to the island and we encourage our customers to let us know how we are doing. We are open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Hours and Directions (including a map) are provided for your convenience.
